We arrived at the airport unable to find the shuttle driver. I had to call the resort so they could call the driver and after about 15 minutes of confusion we found each other.
It started pouring down rain once we arrived and the staff was quick to grab umbrellas and get us inside as dry as possible. The check in process was going fine until I noticed my bag was no where to be seen was in the back of the van. I asked around and people went to find it but no one came back with it. They wanted us to wait until the rain stopped before bringing us to the room but it was getting close to our first spa time so we pushed the issue and I again asked for my bag. They kept saying "Don't worry, we will bring it to you.
In the main area in was clear the rain water was leaking in it was raining very hard but we soon noticed a horrible smell and found the bathroom was completely flooded and not with rain water We also noticed there was a welcome note and card on the table We also noticed there was a welcome note and card on the table for some other guest At this point we asked for another room but where told the were full and no other rooms where available.
The two guys the brought us to the room obviously had no idea what to do. I still didn't have my bag so I couldn't change before the first spa treatment. We went to the spa hoping they could deal with the room but it was hard to relax during the treatment as my bag was still missing and I had little faith they could make the room acceptable by the time we were done.
We couldn't believe it! After being told multiple times it would be brought to the room it was left outside unattended. I was about to lose it so I had my husband talk to the manager.
