Breakfast is great lots of choice, the rooms are big and if you get a sea view it great. The lobby is a good meeting place and Beba is great for cocktails with a live band sometimes. Got settled into my room, which was clean and tidy and well appointed.
However I was totally unprepared for the paper-thin walls, smoking of Chinese guests in no-s Arrived after being ripped off for the cost of a taxi from the airport well over twice the going rate once the taxi driver saw the destination to find that the Reception staff spoke little or no English.
However I was totally unprepared for the paper-thin walls, smoking of Chinese guests in no-smoking rooms and noise of business men until 4am in the morning. I had no sleep for two nights and after the third night, swallowed my British reserve and went down early to complain.
The staff were not very helpful and moved me to another room in the same part of the hotel, which made little difference overall. When my son complained later that day they upgraded me to a room on the sea side I could not book a room there when I tried and started to have a great night's sleep. I did feel that I was an oddity as a western woman travelling alone and not really taken seriously by the hotel staff.
I also tried to use their postal support, only to be pointed in the general direction of a post office which turned out to be a parcels depot. Again, not very helpful at all.
