We booked this place for 2 reasons, price and age of hotel. We expected some issues based on reviews but nothing was too major and workable. Checkin process: We rented a car and they do have free parking.
When you check in let them know and you'll be given a parking permit. We requested 2 rooms to be on the same level. Upon arrival we were told it would be on 2 different floors. We argued about it with Maneesh and told him we even made a request 2 months ago with the booking. We were told they can't accommodate until 24 hours before and if we want same floor, one of the rooms will be a twin bed.
Told them it's not what we booked and want what we booked. Somehow the rooms we booked showed up and we were given our keys. Dubai way is you have to question or argue about everything or else they make decisions for you. House keeping needs training provided from the folks in Mexico. Ask for anything and it takes an hour to get to your room. We learned if we tell them we need it right now it shows up quicker.
Our room was nice, small but Our room was nice, small but it worked. They tell you to call 0 for anything at the front desk because you can never reach them. It's customary to call times before you reach the front desk. Upon arrival noticed our room garbage wasn't take out and there were dirty tampons in there when we arrived. Had to yell at the front desk the second time to get someone up right away to clean it.
Bright side of the operations were the bellboys. They were very attentive and helpful. Breakfast was at the hotel. Pretty much the same rinse and repeat program. They do have a lot of varieties but gets old after a while. Stayed there 7 days and each day saw managers talking to guests and interacting with them. They never talked to us even though they would go to tables next to us. One of our parties didn't want breakfast one day and just wanted a banana and juice.
