Despite the change in name from Hotel F1 to Sun 1, and the concomitant revamp of rooms, this Hotel chain finds it difficult to shed its bad reputation. The hotel is still frequented by businessmen who use the rooms for a quickie with street prostitutes or secret lovers. However, the rooms are just what you need: Modern, comfortable bedding, TV, Aircon, and private toilet and shower.
It is centrally located opposite the Univeristy of the Free State. Excellent location if you attend a conference at UOFS.
Rooms are sound proof. Take note: Geysers are small. One person cannot shower shortly after the other and expect hot water. Expect a min wait for the system to heat water.
