A narrow street in the historical center of Maastricht that over the years has become the main shopping area in the city. Shopping is not high on my list of things to do when I travel as I am much more interested in the history of a place. However the Stokstraat satisfies that part of my travel experience. The shops are boutiques rather than well known chain stores so the shop windows A nice area, very picturesque with a large variety of shops.
Prices range accordingly and there is something for anyone. I really enjoyed it. Stopped at the Tourist Info Center and purchased their walking tour guide. Lovely narrow lanes, interesting facades on homes, and lots of blooming flowers.
