Excellent customer service, food is delicious both in the restaurant and poolside, there is an adult pool which is nice and quiet, three different pools, beautiful spectacular views of the Caribbean Sea, very new hotel and extremely friendly staff, highly highly recommend!!!
I've read some bad reviews about the customer service here, but I only experienced great customer service! They even went so far as to ask you while you're there if you have any suggestions for improvements. We also felt very SAFE inside and outside the this hotel. Armed military and police presence very peaceful way around the hotel made you feel very safe. The Hyatt Regency is a new hotel in Cartagena.
The location is convenient and overlooks the beach and sea. The hotel is about 10 minutes by taxi to the walled colonial Cartagena. An upscale mall is next to the Hyatt. The amenities are modern and clean. Our room had floor to ceiling windows which overlooked the water.
The bathroom is well designed and large. The beds are comfortable with soft linens. There are two pool areas. The upper deck is only for adults and the larger pool is for everyone. The service was slow but the food was delicious. Overall the staff were professional, courteous and accommodating. I highly recommend the Hyatt Regency Cartagena. This is the best hotel in Cartagena, Colombia by far. It is new, has a good location. Beautiful views of the Caribbean Sea!
Get access to the Regency Club lounge. The food is really good, is safe and has some local dishes. Very cool 4 or so pools-overlooking the Caribbean! About a casual minute walk from the hotel to the "old town. This is a third world country, no doubt, but a first world hotel. The hotel is right next to a shopping mall. English spoken at the hotel. Questions, message me. We were apprehensive about staying in Bocagrande because it is farther from the events in the walled city but we wish we would have stayed here for our entire stay!
